Remove a 2003 Chevy S10 Catalytic Converter


Crawl underneath the Motor lorry and establish the catalytic converter. It is approximately midpoint between the engine and the muffler, welded in the Centre of the exhaust pipe.3. Replacement catalytic converters are available from Car parts stores and Chevrolet dealerships.


Instructions


1. Shut down the S10's engine and field the gear selector in field or basic gear (tome). Use the emergency brake and chock the rear wheels.


2.The catalytic converter in a 2003 Chevrolet S10 Motor lorry is designed to beget the exhaust less harmful to the area. Slice through the exhaust pipe 1-inch behind the catalytic converter using a reciprocating saw. Slice through the exhaust pipe 1-inch in front of the catalytic converter using the same reciprocating saw.


4. Remove the catalytic converter from underneath the vehicle. Do not operate the vehicle until the exhaust pipe is repaired or another catalytic converter is properly installed.
