Replace Air Vents Inside A 1998 Volkswagen Passat

Replacing the air vents on your 1998 Volkswagen Passat is a no sweat ball-buster. Everyone air vents on your Passat is held in domicile by a unmarried clip that can be removed with a screwdriver. Once the clip is removed, you can pull the air vent gone of the vehicle and install a replacement vent. Attach the dash bezel and reinstall the screws.



Insert the screwdriver into the space between the vent and the dashboard, and slide it around the edge of the vent to remove the clip. Pull the clip out with the screwdriver. Repeat with all four air vents on the front of the Passat.


3. Remove the screws from the upper and lower corners of the central dashboard bezel frame, with a Phillips screwdriver; then pull it off.


4. Pry out the two air vents with a flathead screwdriver.


5. Place the replacement air vents into the Passat and place the clip onto the vent, making sure it snaps into place. Repeat with all vents, if necessary.
