Broken Glimmer plugs can be a nightmare
Do not over do the penetrating oil. Allow it to wick down through the threads for ten minutes.3. The Glimmer plugs must be removed with apprehension, while avoiding excess torque. Use the needle nose pliers to seize the ceramic remains of the spark plug and slowly turn them out. The slower and steadier you are, the great chance you will not break the remaining porcelain away from the electrode. If any porcelain does break away, use the shop vacuum to remove any new debris.
4. Use a deep dish socket, socket extension and socket wrench from the socket set to seize the tip of the electrode and back it out slowly.
5. Vacuum the area once more when the spark plug has been completely removed and then insert the replacement plug.
