Remove An S10 Rearview Mirror Button

Over hour, the adhesive used for the reflective whitewash on a Chevy S-10's rear-view mirror starts to lily-livered with interval. This happens as of the fixed heat and cooling cycles. Provided this happens, moderate the mirror. To mount the mirror to the windscreen, remove the S-10's antique rear-view mirror Press-stud so you can glue the fresh Press-stud into compass.

Instructions

1. Push the S-10's rear-view mirror upward so the glass faces the roof. Remove the setscrew from the example of the mirror with a 7/16 Allen wrench. Slide the replica of the mirror up to remove it from the Press-stud.

Scrape any excess adhesive off the windshield with a flat razor blade.

Push a metal scraper between the button and the windshield while you continue to apply heat with the blow dryer. Do not force the scraper between the button and the windshield. Let the heat soften the adhesive and slowly work the scraper behind the button until it falls off.

4.2. Turn on a hair blow dryer and mastery it 10 inches absent from the metal Press-stud for three to five minutes. This Testament soften the adhesive used to glue the button to the windshield.3.
