1. Clear the hood of your Dodge Dakota and fix the rejection battery cable. Remove the mounting bolt from the cable heel with a wrench, and remove the cable from the battery. Isolate the cable confine from the battery so it cannot cook contact with the battery while you are working with the wiring on the starter.

Allot the two electrical connectors on the back of the starter solenoid--one plug-type connexion and one stud-type connexion.
