Switch The Fan Inside A Dodge Smart

Instructions


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable on your Dodge Intrepid and isolate it to ensure there's no chance of it slipping back into contact with the battery terminal.


2. Drain your engine's coolant system sufficiently to allow you to remove the upper radiator hose. Plug the cooling fan's electrical connector back into its wiring harness. Replace the upper radiator hose and clamp it back into place.6. Refill the radiator with engine coolant and reconnect your vehicle's negative battery cable, in that order.



Place the new engine cooling fan in the engine compartment and bolt it in place. The fan mounting bolts should be tightened to 50 inch pounds or 6 Nm of torque.


5. Use your screwdriver to loosen and remove the radiator hose clamp, remove the hose and set it aside.3. Unplug the electric cooling fan's connector from the wiring harness, then remove the cooling fan's mounting bolts and lift the fan assembly out of the engine compartment and set it aside.4.



7. Run your Dodge Intrepid up to normal operating temperature. Check the cooling system for leaks, and verify that the cooling system and automatic transmission fluids are at the correct level.
