Fix A Dent Or Dimple Inside A Hardwood Floor

Set a Dent in a Hardwood Floor


Provided you posses a dent or depression in your hardwood floor, it can be constant.

Instructions

1. Sand the dent or depression with a medium grit sandpaper down to the naked wood.Hardwood floors double o enjoyable in homes. Hardwood floors can obtain dents or depressions from a weighty something such as furniture or an appliance. A dent can be absolutely unsightly.



Sand the dent approximately to approximately ¼ of an inch or less on all sides of the dent or depression.


2. Shorten 4 to 6 pieces of cotton structure to the magnitude or depression in the hardwood floor. Be decided to exercise cotton that is immaculate or no colour.


3. Wet the cotton with sincere damp. The fabric should be slightly more than damp, but not dripping wet. Place dry towels next to the wet fabric to protect the surrounding floor.


4. Place a hot iron on top of the wet cotton. The iron should be set to the highest setting. Leave the iron in place for about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the fabric pieces to see if the dent has raised up to be flush with remainder of the hardwood floor. If the dent has not raised up enough, repeat the process until the dent or depression is gone. After the dent or depression is gone, allow the floor to dry overnight, sand with a fine grit sandpaper and apply a coat of floor wax.
