The Specifications For Any 1927 Chevrolet

Chevrolet Engine Firm was started in 1911 to compete with the Ford Mannequin T. For the design year 1927, Chevrolet outsold Ford for the front date. Ford had shut down for detail of the year to retool for the contemporary Design A.


Models


In 1927 Chevrolet produced the AA Capitol Series, with a two-door coach, coupe, roadster and sport cabriolet example. Engine

1927 Chevys featured a 171-cubic-inch, valve-in-head engine with overhead poppet valves and three leading bearings.


Chassis


The 1927 Chevys had a 103-inch wheelbase with a semi-floating type axle. The spiral-bevel pinion rear differential utilized a propeller shaft. The cars had rear drum brakes, with no brakes on the front. They rode on semi-elliptical leaf springs with high clearance for the rough, muddy roads. Their wheel track was 56 inches so as to match the horse-drawn buggy grooves.
