Provided an engine is not running properly, and you cannot seem to bargain anything faulty with the fuel, ignition and pc systems, a compression test is in aligning. The compression investigation measures the bigness of compression in Everyone cylinder. Whether a vehicle has low compression, it could annex dangerous rings, or you could have a dispute with a valve sealing properly. The compression for each cylinder won't be fair still, on the contrary Everyone cylinder's compression should be within 10 p.s.i. of remainder of the cylinders.
Instructions
1. Remove the plug wire from one of the cylinders. Repeat for remainder of the cylinders. Remove the spark plug, using the spark plug socket.
2. Screw the compression gauge into the spark plug hole. Press the button the side of the gauge to make sure the gauge is zeroed out. Have a helper crank the engine over five times. Write down the compression, which is measure in p.s.i.
3. Reinstall the plug and the wire. Provided you can't pull it off by labourer, use the spark plug wire pliers. Pull the coil wire off the coil tower. Work the cylinders in order, so you don't forget which ones you've checked.
