Adjust The Clutch Inside A Hyundai Sonata

Clutch Cable


1. Analysis near the transmission of the Hyundai Sonata for the clutch cable's adjuster follower whether you motorcar has a clutch cable.


2. Turn the adjuster nut to tighten it to adjust the clutch cable. If there is too much looseness in the cable, the clutch will not properly engage the transmission's "throw out bearing." By adjusting the clutch in this manner, you should improve the clutch's performance.


3. Test the clutch pedal of the Hyundai Sonata to see whether the adjustment you made works well. Bleed the clutch system of fluid by releasing the slave cylinder's bleeder valve, inserting a hose and putting the other end of the hose into a clear container with clutch fluid. Pump the clutch pedal slowly, and continue doing so until you see no more air bubbles in the container. Replace the clutch fluid.



Check the reservoir of the Hyundai Sonata to see whether there is enough clutch fluid in the reservoir, which is located at the rear left of the engine bay. Fill the reservoir and pump the pedal several times to restore the pressure in the system.


5. If not, turn the adjuster nut again.
