Do New Condensers Include Freon Inside Them

When your condenser fails, you Testament taction apart sizzling air outlook from your vents.

The air-conditioning of your vehicle is a convoluted action that involves assorted mechanical and non-mechanical components. The failure of one Element can render the air-conditioning operation bootless. One of the leading components of the air-conditioning operation in the condenser. Provided the condenser fails, it typically requires a replacement. On occasion, a condenser can also become clogged from oxidation and rust. Either way, the only way to rectify the problem is to replace the condenser.

Location

It must be filled after it has been installed. The condenser may be filled with one of two refrigerants, depending on the vehicle. On a non-retrofitted, pre-1994 vehicle, one of two things must happen; the air-conditioning system must be filled with R12 freon --- if available --- by a certified technician, or your air-conditioning system must be retrofitted to R134a refrigerant and filled with R134a. If your vehicle has already been retrofitted for R134a or is built after 1994, you may refill it with R134a yourself or have a shop refill it.

Function

The condenser's main function is to convert the refrigerant from a gaseous state to a liquid by cooling it. It does this much like a radiator cools the engine's antifreeze. The condenser has a fan that pulls air through the fins in the condenser, cooling the gas inside.

Failures

The typical failure of an air-conditioning condenser is due to a hole being punched in it. A hole causes the refrigerant to leak out, causing the air-conditioning to malfunction. A poll that you may posses is; does the condenser come filled with freon?

Freon

The air-conditioning compressor does not come filled with freon from the shelf.

The condenser is located at the front of the vehicle. It can be mounted either in front of or behind the radiator. It looks just like the radiator, except it is thinner.
