Use A Starter Inside A Chrysler Pt

Introduced in 2000, the Chrysler PT Cruiser is available in a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine in either turbo or non-turbo. It extremely may come as a jotter or automatic transmission. Instructions


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal from the battery and isolate it so it does not come into contact with the contradiction battery publish during the procedure. Remove the air cleaner box insert, the engine structural collar, the starter electrical connections, the starter bolts and then the starter. Test start the Cruiser to ensure the starter is working.


Reconnect the electrical connections and then tighten them.


3. Install the engine structural collar and the five bolts to hold it in place. Hand tighten the collar to transaxle bolt. Reposition the power steering support bracket and then install the collar to oil pan bolt. On manual transmission Cruisers, place the clutch slave cylinder in place and hand start the bolts.


4. Place the bending strut into position and hand start the bolts.


5. Tighten the collar to transaxle/transmission bolt, install the bolts through the bending strut and then tighten all the remaining bolts.


6. Reinstall the air box cleaner cover and then replace the negative battery terminal clamp and tighten.


7. Other components in the system allow for the energy steering hose backing bracket, the bending strut and, on book transmissions, the clutch slave cylinder.2. Install the new starter and tighten the starter bolts using a ratchet and socket or wrench.
