Fresh metallic automotive paints little match right, now all the more provided the mingle is alike to the latest, the repair measure is not -- and that affects the tint shade. Gently try to push the dent out with the metal rod. Use the hammer to tap gently against the rod if pushing does not provide sufficient force to smooth the dent.

Instructions

1. Clean the dented area thoroughly and completely and then allow it to dry.

2. Position yourself so you can work with your hands and tools from the backside of the metal panel that has the dent while looking at the front side. You may have to remove some panels to gain access. Leave the panel for repair on the vehicle. The bolting and framing of a panel while it is on the car maintains a rigidity that keeps you from knocking the panel over and causing a new dent.

3. Cover one end of the metal rod you will use with a rubber stopper or simple, flat pencil eraser. Position a towel over the backside of the dent. PDR completely avoids that problem. It can be a very delicate procedure, though. If done quickly or sloppily it can result in new dents and dings.
