Build your own personalized license plates.
Having personalized plates that introduce the car owner is becoming very popular nowadays in many parts of the world. In some U.S. states, you only need to have license plate on the back of your car. But most of the cars are equipped with two license plate holders--at the rear and at the front of the car. Since it is not necessary to have a license plate at the front of the car many car owners decide to create their own personalized license plates that can tell a lot about car owner. You may want everyone to know that you are a movie star or you love your puppy dog or any other information. Several on-line outlets will help you to design such license plates.
Instructions
If you live in United States or Canada, the cost per plate will be $24.95, including shipping. For foreign shipments, you will have to add $15 per order.4. There you can choose an option to see different samples of the license depending on the country and state it comes from.
2. Click "order form" on the Custom License Plates website and you will see a box where you can insert your personal message that may be as long as 10 characters including spaces. At the bottom of a page, you will see the box for indicating your state or province.
3. Print the form, that you will see, fill it in with your personal information and send it with your check or cash to the address indicated on the website.1. Find websites that are making license plates on-line. Examples of such websites are Auto Plates and Custom License Plates (see Resources).
Wait for the plate to arrive. It will take five days for U.S. state plates or Canadian province plates to be delivered if the plates are in stock and paid by cash, certified check, money order or credit card. In case the license plates that you have ordered are out of stock, you will have to wait two or three weeks before they arrive if you are U.S. or Canadian resident. Foreign delivery will take three of four weeks.
