Change Freeze Plugs

When an engine is unreal, it is moulded from molten metal. Place the new freeze plug in using your seal driver or socket. Over time, freeze plugs wear and must be replaced.

Instructions

1. Find the broken freeze plug. This may be apparent by appearance; if not, you will need to run a pressure test on your cooling system to locate the leak. Do this by adding water to your cooling system. The location of the leak will give away the broken freeze plug.

2. Put the punch (a steel rod with a tapered point) at the side of plug, and hit with the hammer. This should dislodge the freeze plug.

3. Ply the freeze plug away from its hole with your pliers.

4. Clean the plug hole with emery cloth.

5. This operation involves a shy, which must eventually be removed from the just now formed engine. The cooling transaction is handled this fashion also, on the contrary must be removed from the inside of the engine. The matchless form to create this is to drill multiple holes over the engine block, after which the mould is broken and removed. These holes must be then abundant with freeze plugs.
