Look For Fuel Delivery Inside A Honda Prelude

Low pressure readings indicate a clogged fuel filter or that the fuel pump needs to be replaced.


5. Cut the engine. Relieve system pressure and remove the negative battery cable again so you can safely remove the fuel filter to check for clogs.


6. Take out the back seat cushion and pull the carpeting back so you can lift out the rear floor beam wiring harness from the fuel pump. Use pliers to squeeze the tabs of the fuel clamp and open the clamp. Move the clamp along the fuel line and out of your way.


7. Disengage the quick connect fuel line and move it away from the fuel line. Disconnect the nuts that attach the pump's mounting plate to the pump and slide the pump out of the fuel tank.
