Concerning The Lamborghini Reventon

The Lamborghini Reventon (pronounced rebenton) is a ultra-high-end exotic van that was trumped-up in almighty district numbers for a discerning aggregation of worldwide buyers. The Reventon is based on the Murcielago supercar however features a far enhanced outlandish looking thing and interior that takes all the more of its inspiration from current fighter jets.

Styling

The leading angle of the Reventon that sets it except the Murcielago is the fighter jet-inspired styling, which trades the sleek lines of the automobile that it is based on for a far and angular and aggressive presentation that is defined by a riot of sharp creases and hard-edged corners, which Lamborghini claims are based on the aeronautics of fighter jets. The headlights are futuristic-looking bi-xenon and the tail lights are LEDs. The Reventon's wild carbon fiber bodywork is painted with a militaristic-looking matte paint called Grey Barra Due that lacks the shine of conventional automotive paint. The Reventon also features wheels with carbon fiber fins.

Interior

The cockpit of the Reventon follows the same edict as the exterior and features Alcantara (faux suede), carbon, aluminum and leather surfaces. Like a jet, the interior features TFT liquid crystal displays that have customizable display modes. In addition to the jet-style display, the driver of the Reventon can switch to a quasi-analog display that has more conventional round gauges. The gearbox is a "robotized" e-gear transmission, which changes gears quicker than a driver can shift a Lamborghini equipped with a conventional manual gearbox. In order to provide sufficient grip, the Reventon also utilized the same permanent four-wheel-drive system of the car it is based on. The Reventon goes from zero to 60 in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of more than 340 kmh.

Limited Production and High Price

There is also a G-Force-Meter, which shows the dynamic forces produced by the Reventon during acceleration, braking and cornering, which is similar to the technology that Formula One teams use for the development of their race cars.

Driveline

The Reventon relies on the same driveline as the Murcielago, which is based on a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 640 horsepower at 8,000 rpm.

Much of the Reventon's cachet is based on the fact that there were only 20 versions made, all of which were sold for the staggering sum of $1 million. Many people felt that was an awfully steep price for a car that was basically mechanically identical to the Murcielago on which it is based.

Reventon Roadster

Lamborghini went one further when it revealed a drop-top version of the Reventon coupe, based on the Murcielago Roadster, in late 2009. The Roadster is powered by the same platform as the coupe, the primary difference being the fact that the top can be removed.
