The Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with premium sound on the other hand when the course stops working or supplementary features are desired, replacements are a great alternative. Upgrading the stereo in a Jeep Grand Cherokee requires removing the front sprint panel, which is even simpler than it sounds. Installation takes two hours or less and requires basic tools.
Instructions
1. Fix the trim panel on all sides of the air conditioning controls and unsnap it from the sprint. In senescence prior to 1996, the trim surrounding the stereo requires removing two bolts under the ashtray instead of removing the full front dash panel.
Secure the virgin stereo into the Jeep radio mounting equipment per the manufacturer's directions. Connect the wiring harness adaptor to the latest harness and then to the back of the new radio. Insert the antenna wire and slide the entire assembly into the dash.5.
Pull the sprint panel elsewhere and establish it aside. Remove the two 10mm bolts, one on Everyone side of the Jeep Grand Cherokee stereo, and pull the stereo away of the sprint. Disconnect the wires from the back of the radio and let them hang from the front of the sprint.
4.2. Snap gone the trim all over the headlight switch and remove all five screws located under the trim panels. Remove the five more screws from underneath the top of the front sprint panels.3.
Turn the head unit on and verify the speakers and controls are working properly. Secure the stereo with the 10mm bolts, screw and snap the remaining trim pieces into place.
