Remove Brake Calipers From a Nissan 350Z
The brake caliper is the meeting that houses the cylinder and the brake pads. Provided the caliper is in charge of replacement, you Testament beam uneven stressful on the brake pads, an angle-worn brake pad, or debris in and sorrounding the existence of contact between the cylinder and the brake pads. If any or all of these signs are present, then you may need to change your brake calipers. They are fairly inexpensive, and it is suggested to replace them in pairs (the front at the same time or the two in back at the same time).
Instructions
1. Loosen all of the lug nuts on the car with the tire iron 1-¾ turns counterclockwise. Make sure that the car is in park and that the parking brake is off.
2. Jack the car up by setting the jack under the axle of the car. Once the tires are off the ground, set the jack stand under the same axle as the jack. Remove the tires completely.
3. Remove the two caliper pin bolts.5. Install the new caliper by sliding it into place on the bracket and rotor. Tighten the pin bolts back into place.
These are the two bolts in the middle section of the caliper mounting bracket (the half moon-shaped bracket on the rotor) and require hex keys to remove.4. Slide the caliper off of the bracket and the rotor. If it sticks, use the rubber mallet to tap it free.
