Repair A Starter

5. Turn the starter sideways and gently pull it out.


6. Loosen the bolts that keep the cover on the starter and pop off the cover. Clean everything off as you go, so it's ready to put back together.


7. Take out the old contact and pay attention to how everything connects. Replace the old contacts with new ones and clean the inside of the starter thoroughly. Replace the cover and reinstall the starter.
