Remove the Old Freeze Plugs


1. Mount the new plugs using a socket or seal driver.5. Make sure the socket is correctly sized if you are using one.6.



Clean any rust or build-up from the freeze plug's mounting surface using the emery cloth.


Mounting the New Plugs


4. Remove the old freeze plugs from the engine block using a hammer and punch. Place the punch at the side of the plug and tap it with the hammer using the necessary force.2. Pull the old plug out using the pliers.3.



Apply a small amount of sealant to the plug.
