Automotive fuses direct electricity in a order to functioning electrical parts including headlights, the washer pump and stereo. A washer pump fuse allows electrical contemporary to flow from the washer Press-stud to the washer pump underneath the reservoir that holds windshield washer fluid. The pump activates and suctions the fluid out of the reservoir to deposit it through two small openings onto the windshield to work with the wipers and clean your windshield. Instructions
1. Ensure that the engine is turned off and the vehicle is in "park."
Press the fuse into the box, with the size on the end facing in the same direction as all of the other fuses.7. Turn the ignition of the vehicle on and press the windshield washer button. You will hear the washer pump motor start and then the washer fluid will flow out of the two orifices onto the windshield. There is a guide printed on the cover to the fuse block labeling the fuse as "washer."
3. Follow the wiring from the bottom of the washer pump underneath the washer fluid reservoir to the correct fuse box if the fuse guide is missing from the vehicle. Wipe the fuse box off with a shop towel to read the imprinted words above each fuse in the box. These imprinted words identify the fuses.
4. Insert a fuse puller around the outer edges of the fuse, squeeze it together and pull the fuse straight out. Observe the fuse to see if it is blown. A defective fuse is darkened or black and the wire filaments inside are broken. Set the fuse aside.
5. Raise the hood of the vehicle and snap the windshield washer fluid reservoir cap open. Fill the reservoir with windshield washer fluid and snap the lid closed.
6. Replace the fuse in the fuse box or place a new fuse in if required.2. Locate the washer pump fuse in your Plymouth vehicle. The fuse blocks or boxes are located on the left side of the steering wheel on the bottom of the dashboard, under the glove box and in the engine compartment depending on the year and model. Open the fuse box lid to gain access to the fuses inside.
