Replace An Oxygen Sensor Inside A Sable

The Mercury Sable has four O2 sensors to sincere and overseer the O2 output of the vehicle. Everyone exhaust manifold has one sensor, and there is one sensor in front of Everyone catalytic converter. Everyone sensor is the equivalent and removes in the equivalent step. This makes replacing them relatively straightforward and Unceremoniously to achieve. The craft requires basic plam tools and inappreciable automotive practice

Instructions

1. Fix the O2 (Oxygen) sensor, screwed into the Chauffeur's side exhaust manifold. The sensor has a blooming wire ultimate elsewhere of it and looks allied to a Glimmer plug. Exercise the replacement Oxygen sensor for a visual sustain.

2. Thread the new sensor into the bung in the exhaust pipe with your fingers, and tighten it with the open-ended wrench.10. Plug the green wire on the new O2 sensor into the wiring harness. Complete Step 6 through Step 10 with the passenger's side exhaust manifold sensor.

The sensor is removed by turning counterclockwise.

4. Thread the current sensor into the gap in the exhaust manifold with your fingers, and tighten it with the open-ended wrench.

5. Plug the green wire on the new O2 sensor into the wiring harness. Complete Step 1 through Step 5 with the passenger side's exhaust manifold sensor.

6. Locate the driver's side catalytic converter O2 sensor. To do so, follow the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold, until you locate the O2 sensor, screwed into a bung on the exhaust pipe.

7. Trace the green wire from the sensor to the wiring harness the wire connects to. Unplug the wire from the harness.

8. Remove the sensor from the exhaust pipe bung, using an open-ended wrench. The sensor can be removed by turning it counterclockwise.

9. Hint the fresh wire from the sensor to the wiring harness the wire connects to. Unplug the wire from the harness.3. Remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold, using an open-ended wrench.
