The Comedy Showcase, based in Houston, Texas, offers an in-person defensive driving class at the Pearland IHOP. This six-hour class reviews the defensive driving curriculum in a humorous way and participants not only receive a certificate of completion that can be used to dismiss a traffic ticket but also a $90 gift certificate to see a Comedy Showcase show.
Classes take place every other Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and advanced registration is required. Students can register online or via phone. As of August 2010, the cost of each class is $40 and includes dinner.
