331 Hemi Compression Specs

A sporadic lines of Chrysler vehicles came with the 331 Hemi.


The Hemi was an engine produced by Chrysler for its muscle cars and trucks. The 331 cubic-inch engine was one of the earlier Hemi engines produced from 1951 to 1955. The spell Hemi refers to the cylinder head--the combustion chamber inside the intellect is hemispherical is shape. The 331 anecdote was eliminated after 1955.


The compression remained the duplicate at 7.5 to 1.

NE55

The NE55 narration of the 331 Hemi was the persist day the 331 engine was combined with the hemispherical combustion Hospital ward. This engine was exclusive produced for one year and showed increases in both horsepower and torque over the C542-8.




The C541-8 was the 331 Hemi that was installed in 1955 Chrysler cars and trucks. While the horsepower and torque were increased in the reproduction of the 331 Hemi, the compression remained at 7.5 to 1.


C542-8


The C542-8 novel of the 331 Hemi was further installed in 1954 Chrysler vehicles. This history included a "Influence Pack" that included a 4-barrel carburettor. This copper increased both horsepower and torque when compared to the C541-8.

C51-8

The C51-8 mould was the 331 Hemi that was installed in Chrysler vehicles in 1951, 1952 and 1953. This string of the 331 Hemi had a compression classifying of 7.5 to 1.

The increases were somewhat attributed to the compression development to 8.5 to 1.
