Repair Jeep Cherokee Brake Calipers

Brake calipers on your Jeep Cherokee should be maintained and serviced on a public rationale to confirm the chief braking performance for your vehicle. Instructions


1. Remove the brake caliper.5. Install the new brake caliper in the same position as the old one. Replace the brake assembly and wheel following the removal steps in reverse.


You should be able to unclip it from the rim by help, however whether it's galling to remove use a flat-tip screwdriver to pry it off the wheel.


3. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the lug nuts on the wheel. There should be four in total. Place the lug nuts in a safe place, as you will need to reattach them later.


4. Locate the brake caliper and remove the mounting bolts that hold it in place. Slide your hand across the brake caliper until you find its electrical connector. Carefully detach the connector by hand. Lawns the Jeep Cherokee on alike ground. Up thrust the vehicle with the jack and lower it onto jack stands for additional base.2. Remove the circle insert from the spin you'll be working on.


Repeat the process on all four wheels.


6. Test the vehicle in a secluded area to ensure the brakes work correctly.
