Tune An Outboard Carburetor

The outboard Engine uses two adjustment screws on the top of the carburettor that can be allot with a screwdriver. When you locate the reconciliation screws so the engine is running smoothly, it Testament drive at approximately 600 rpm. Adjust the idle speed screw on the right counterclockwise, until the engine begins to stall, and turn the screw back 1/4 turn.



2. Turn both sluggish screws clockwise with a screwdriver, until they bottom out without over-tightening. Adjust both screws by turning them 1 1/4 turns counterclockwise with the screwdriver.


3. Start the engine, and let it warm up for a few minutes. Turn the air speed adjustment screw on the left counterclockwise, until you hear the engine start to stall out, and turn the screw back 1/4 turn.
