Touch one of the leads on the voltmeter to one of the terminals on the edge of the valve. Then, touch the other vanguard of the voltmeter to the other terminal on the extremity of the valve. 8. Let the sensor dry completely and then reinstall it onto the throttle body. Installation is the reverse of removal.


9. Start your vehicle's engine and allow it to idle for several minutes so that the idle control valve can relearn the air flow required for the engine.
