5. Attempt to slide the drum off the brake assembly by hand. Wiggle the drum back and forth to loosen it.


6. Pound the drum with a hammer to break the rust and corrosion that have sealed the drum to the axle. Pound the center with the hammer. Pound the back of the drum with the hammer until it frees itself from the studs.


7. Pull the drum off by hand. The drum is cast iron and heavy.
